Hubert Hoelzke

Hubert Hoelzke (born September 13, 1925 in Berlin ; † October 28, 2018 there ) was a German screenwriter , actor and director .

Life

After completing the Notabitur in 1943, Hoelzke was drafted into service in the Navy . After the end of the Second World War , he gained his first experience as an actor with the artists' association in Calbe . He then went to a drama school in Magdeburg and worked at several theaters. In 1954 he returned to Berlin and from 1955 worked as an actor, mainly for television. In 1956 he warned with the film Beware, Snappy! made his debut as a television director. Up to and including 1988, nearly 40 directorial works followed, including a DEFA movie with Alwin the Last . From 1961 he also appeared as a screenwriter. He was involved in several short films in the series Das Stacheltier . Hoelzke never committed himself to a single genre in his work.

Since 1951 he had close ties to the actress Evamaria Bath , both privately and professionally . The two have a daughter and a son together.
