Mücahit Atalay (born October 26, 1991 in Of ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper who plays for Konyaspor .

Career

Club career

Atalay started club football in the youth department of Gençlerbirliği ASAŞ , the club that changed its name to Hacettepe SK in the summer of 2008 and has been under the Turkish first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara since 2003 .

In the summer of 2009, Atalay joined the youth department of Trabzonspor , the most famous and successful club in Atalay's home province of Trabzon, with a professional contract . Here Atalay played for two seasons for the youth and reserve team. In the summer of 2011 he was loaned to the second club Trabzonspor, to the third division club 1461 Trabzon , but stayed here for a season as a substitute keeper without a competitive game. With this club he became champions of the TFF 2nd Lig in the 2011/12 season and was promoted to the TFF 1st Lig .

For the 2012/13 season Atalay moved to the first division side Elazığspor . At this club he played more for the reserve team, but was also a second substitute keeper in the professional squad. On May 17, 2014, he made his professional debut in the first division match against Çaykur Rizespor .

He moved to Hatayspor in January 2016 .

National team career

Atalay began his national team career in 2008 with a commitment for the Turkish U-17 youth national team . He then played for the Turkish U-18 and U-19 national teams .
