Uğur Demirok (born July 8, 1988 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Demirok was born in the Istanbul district of Eyup and began in the youth of Galatasaray Istanbul . In the spring of 2006 he was accepted into the professional squad by the then head coach Eric Gerets and made his professional debut in the league game on April 1, 2006 against Gençlerbirliği Ankara . In the same season he was with the team of Turkish champions . In his second season, Galatasaray loaned him to Gaziantepspor , where he only played two games. Demirok changes for the 2007/08 season on loan to the 2nd division to İstanbulspor . At Istanbulspor he came to more missions, but one season later it was not enough again for a place at Galatasaray. Uğur Demirok currently played for the third division Beylerbeyi SK .

In the summer of 2011 he left Galatasaray for good and moved to the second division club Akhisar Belediyespor . With this club he came regularly to assignments. At the end of the season he and his team were champions of the TFF 1st Lig and rose to the Süper Lig for the first time in the club's history . In the first first division season with Akhisar Demirok achieved the breakthrough he had hoped for. He rose to become a service provider.

Demirok turned down a contract extension with Akhisar Belediyespor in the summer of 2014 and stated that he would leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expired. After these developments, Demirok, who was already associated with his old club Galatasaray during the 2013/14 season, was associated with Galatasaray and a move to this club by summer 2015 at the latest was considered safe. These rumors were finally confirmed when the Galatasaray coach, under whom Demirok made his breakthrough at Akhisar Belediyespor, expressed his interest in Demirok in early January 2015. After a move to Galatasaray was considered safe, Demirok surprisingly moved to league rivals Trabzonspor and signed a three-year contract with him. Trabzonspor counted a transfer fee of 550,000 euros for Demirok and left the player Kadir Keleş , who was loaned to Akhisar Belediyespor at the beginning of the season, including the transfer to this club.

For the 2015/16 season he was loaned to league rivals Osmanlıspor FK . After three years in Trabzon, Demirok moved to Konyaspor .

National team

Demirok went through almost all youth national teams in his country, from the Turkish U-15 to the U-20 national team.

After being able to convince with his club for several months, he was nominated for the Turkish national team for the first time in his career in a friendly by national coach Fatih Terim in March 2014 . He replaced the German-Turkish Ömer Toprak in the squad , who was previously unloaded due to injury. During this nomination, he made his senior international debut against the Swedish national team .
