Selim Ay (born July 31, 1991 in Antalya ) is a Turkish football player in the service of Konyaspor .

Career

Ay learned to play football in turn in the youth teams Sidespor , Kepez Belediyespor and Konyaspor . In 2010 he received a professional contract with the latter, but continued to play almost exclusively for the reserve team. Only on the last day of the match did he make his professional debut in the second division. He spent the 2010/11 season exclusively with the reserve team.

For the 2011/12 season Konyaspor was imposed a transfer ban on the part of UEFA , so that you had to survive the season with the existing players or with the players from the youth and reserve teams. Ay was involved in the professional squad for the upcoming season. By the end of the season he had 35 league matches and made it with his team in the relegation of the TFF 1. Lig and thereby missed the elimination in the semifinals and promotion to the Süper Lig .
