Leonard Žuta ( Macedonian Леонард Жута ; born August 9, 1992 in Gothenburg , Sweden ) is a Macedonian football player .

Career

society

Žuta began his career in his hometown with BK Häcken . In April 2012 he made his debut for Häcken in the Allsvenskan when he came on as a substitute for René Makondele on the third match day of the 2012 season against Mjällby AIF in the 89th minute . That game was his only one that season.

In 2013 he played internationally with Häcken and made his international debut that year when he was brought into play in the 76th minute for Kari Arkivuo in the second leg of the third round of the 2013/14 Europa League qualification against FC Thun .

In the summer of 2015, Žuta moved to Croatia for HNK Rijeka . In the 2016/17 season he was able to become Croatian champion with Rijeka.

In the winter transfer period 2018/19 he was signed by the Turkish first division club Konyaspor .

National team

Žuta first played for the Macedonian U-21 national team in 2013 . In 2015 he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time . He made his national team debut in June 2015 when he was in the starting line-up in the European Championship qualifier against Slovakia .

Personal

His brother Eduard is also a soccer player.
