Magüí Payán is a municipality (municipio) in the department of Nariño in Colombia . The main town is also known simply as Payán .

Magüí Payán is located in the Tumaco-Barbacoas province in the west of Nariño at an altitude of 394 m above sea level. NN , 380 km from Pasto and has an average temperature of 28 ° C. Magüí Payán is the second largest municipality in Nariño in terms of area. The municipality is bordered by La Tola to the north, El Charco to the northeast, Cumbitara to the east, Los Andes to the southeast, Barbacoas to the south, Roberto Payán to the west and Olaya Herrera to the northwest .
