Marjinskoje ( Russian Марьинское , German Marscheiten ) is a small town in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Swetlogorsk in svetlogorsky district .
Geographical location
Marjinskoje is located on the west coast of the Samland immediately south of Donskoje (Groß Dirschkeim) and is 42 kilometers from the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . A side road runs through the village, which leads from Lesnoje (Warnicken) on the regional road 27A-013 (ex A192 ) via Donskoje to Jantarny (Palmnicken) . In the east the place is limited by the no longer operated railway line from Lesnoje (Warnicken) on the former Samlandbahn to Primorsk (Fischhausen) on the former East Prussian Southern Railway .

The place called Marscheiten until 1946 belonged from 1874 to 1945 to the district of Groß Dirschkeim (today Russian: Donskoje) in the district of Fischhausen (1939 to 1945: district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia On October 17, 1928, the district of Kreislacken (Russian : Bakalino, no longer existent) incorporated after Marscheten.
As a result of the war, marches within northern East Prussia were assigned to the Soviet Union . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Marjinskoje and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Jantarski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . Later the place was administered from the Primorye urban-type settlement . From 2007 to 2018 Marjinskoye belonged to the urban municipality of Gorodskoye posselenije Donskoye in Svetlogorsk Raion and since then to the Svetlogorsk district.

church
The small village of Marscheiten with its predominantly Protestant population was incorporated into the parish of the parish church in Heiligenkreutz (today Russian: Krasnotorowka) before 1945 . It belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Marjinskoje is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
