Marko Črnčec , also Marko Churnchetz (born May 15, 1986 in Maribor ) is a Slovenian jazz musician ( piano , composition ) of modern jazz .

Live and act

Črnčec had classical music training on the accordion at the age of six and on the piano from the age of ten. In 2009 he completed his studies (classical piano and jazz piano ) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz . Since then he has released several albums under his own name, initially Signature and Moral Interchange (both at BASE, 2010) and Devotion (Whirlwind Recordings), on which Mark Shim (saxophone), Chris Tordini (double bass) and Justin Brown (drums) had collaborated . Since then he has also worked in his home region and internationally with musicians such as Jure Pukl , Seamus Blake , Bob Mintzer , Don Menza , Michael Philip Mossman , Ron McClure , Luis Bonilla , Gary Chaffee , Melissa Aldana , Marco Minnemann , Stjepko Gut , Marcus Gilmore , Joe Sanders , Armando Gola , Suresh Talwalkar , Jonathan Powell , Kenny Grohowski , Gwen Hughes , Stefan Milenkovich , Boško Petrović and Sharat Shrivastava . In 2019 Churnchetz led a trio with Chris Tordini and Damion Reid .
