Markus Rohde

Markus Rohde (born February 1, 1979 in Füssen ) is a former German ice hockey player and current coach who works as a youth coach for EV Landsberg . His brother Christian is an ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Markus Rohde began his career in the youth department of EV Füssen , for which he went through all youth teams and was appointed to the professional squad for the first time in the 1995/96 season and made his debut in the second highest division. At the end of the season, the EVF team relegated to the 2nd division south, but Rohde was able to convince in the following season with 46 points in 28 games, so that he got a contract with EC Peiting in the second division. But after nine games for Peiting, he moved back to Füssen and played the season there to the end.

In the summer of 1998 he decided to move to EC Ulm / Neu-Ulm before signing for a year with the second division club SC Bietigheim-Bissingen , where he spent a total of four seasons. He came to the Hanover Indians in 2005 through two further positions in the 2nd Bundesliga .

In the summer of 2007 he decided to move to the second division relegated ESC Dresden . Jan Tabor , manager of the Eislöwen, says about the new addition: “Markus Rohde is a very good ice skater and has played very successfully in the second division for a long time. He had the desire to change and I am convinced that he is a good support in terms of sport and will also fit very well in human terms. ”However, he left the Eislöwen in the middle of the 2007/08 season and completed the rest of the same at EV Füssen . Since summer 2008 he has been under contract with EV Landsberg 2000 . After the 2008/09 season, Markus Rohde signed with EV Landsberg 2000 for two more years.

After the 2009/10 season he ended his active career and has since worked as a junior coach at EV Landsberg.

Markus Rohde represented his home country at the Junior B World Cup in Hungary in 1999 , where the U20 national team took fourth place.
