Marnie McPhail (born July 4, 1966 in Columbus , Ohio ) is a Canadian - American actress , voice actress and singer .

Life

McPhail was born and raised in Columbus. She later attended The Etobicoke School Of The Arts in Toronto , Canada. McPhail became known for her role Annie Edison in the television series The Edison Twins, which she held from 1984 to 1986 and for which she won a Gemini Award . From 2001 to 2002 she played Cindy Baxter in the series The Associates and was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2001 and 2002. In 2006 she took on the role of George Blake in the British miniseries The Shadow Power - The State Within . She had several other series appearances, such as in LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials (1989), Police Report (1991), The Guns of the Law (1988/1993), Star Trek: Voyager (1996), Emergency Room - The Emergency Room (1997), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1997), PSI Factor - It Happens Every Day (1997–1998), The X Files - The FBI's Scary Cases (1999), Sliders - The Gate to Another Dimension (1998–1999) , Soul Food (2001-2002), Wild Card (2003) and Queer as Folk (2003-2004). As an English voice actress, she lent her voice to Maria Wong in All right, Sharon Spitz? (2001–2003) and Peaches in Jojos Zirkus (2003–2011).

Films she starred in include Death Clinic (1991), The Circle Game (1994), Star Trek: First Contact (1996), Nights Below Station Street (1997), Adventure in the Land of Grizzlies (1999) and Die only true love (2000). She was also seen in the interactive computer game Star Trek: Borg in 1996 .

She is the front singer of the rock band Chuck Valiant, in which the actor Reed Diamond is the guitarist . The two met in 2002 while filming Scared Silent and have been married since October 2004.
