Martin Rupprecht (born July 1, 1937 in Woldenberg (Neumark) ; † February 11, 2018 in Berlin ) was a German set designer , costume designer and freelance artist. He was a professor of stage costume at the Berlin University of the Arts .

Life

Rupprecht completed his studies in the departments of stage design and costume at the master school for arts and crafts in Berlin with Werner Kleinschmidt and Mariane Hertzing. After his time as assistant to Ita Maximowna , international theater work with a focus on music theater , world premieres and German premieres of new music took him to the major stages in Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Dresden), Europe (including Oslo, Stockholm, Basel, Zurich, Lisbon, Barcelona, ​​Paris, Athens, Moscow, St. Petersburg) and beyond (Charleston - USA, Los Angeles, Miami, Bogota, Seoul, Tokyo), as well as to the most important festivals such as B.
