In addition, she is booked as a guest musician for third-party productions. The spectrum ranges from live performances in musicals , concerts, galas , shows and festive events to studio recordings for professional audio productions by various artists and producers. Anlauff took on the stage name Mayque with her first solo project , under which she has been active on various occasions to this day. In addition to her work as a singer , she arranges choirs and vocal parts, composes and writes and teaches singing at a private institute.
Life
Beginnings
Anlauff is the first of two children to come from a musical family. From the age of five, she enjoyed an intensive early musical education. At the age of ten Anlauff began classical piano and singing training. She gained her first stage experience as an actress in the musicals Antonio and Tabaluga as well as Tabaluga and Lilli , which went on small regional tours as school productions at the Hermeskeil Gymnasium . The singer started her career in 1997 with the band project Gimme 5 , among others with the Trier guitarist Michael Brettner , with whom she regularly gives concerts, the bassist Dominik Krämer, who also played with the heavytones , and her brother David Anlauff as a drummer and Sascha Voll on the keyboards . In the same year she won first prize at the SR3 singing competition "Talents in the Messestudio" of the Saarland Broadcasting Corporation , but renounced the associated record contract for a hit production.
Despite increasing attention, Anlauff devoted himself to her vocal development and invested a lot of time in her further vocal training over the next five years, especially in the areas of pop and rock as well as jazz , blues , funk and soul . Live and studio productions with different artists followed with increasing regularity.
Mayque
Anlauff launched one of their main projects in 2005 under their now adopted artist name Mayque , a German-language rock band consisting of four professional musicians who became known nationwide through many concerts, events and TV appearances. Between 2005 and 2008, the debut album Reife Zeit with exclusively their own compositions, as well as two singles and an EP were produced in this formation .
In the same year Mayque appeared in the anniversary program 40 Years of Beatclub , where Peter Maffay became aware of her. After Anlauff had presented him with her single version of his own track "Tiefer", which was about to be released, Maffay invited her as a "special guest" on his loud and quiet indoor tour with 21 major concerts. The collaboration was an impressive success, a live DVD that resulted from it earned her a gold record and made this commitment a milestone in her career.
She also got involved with musicians like Maffay, Udo Lindenberg and others with charity performances for the United Kids Foundation and the Tabaluga Foundation .
Show bands, galas and musicals
Another focus of her musical activity is the collaboration with the German musician and composer Thomas Schwab , whose band Anlauff has been a member of since 2003. Since then she has been a full-time singer in his production Christmas Moments , one of the largest and most successful Christmas shows in Germany, which is performed live in many cities across the country every year in the run-up to Christmas . In 2004 she also took on a leading role in Schwab's musical Flori - and dreams come true .
Since 2003 Anlauff has often slipped into the role of backup and duet singer in the German tribute band Still Collins , where she was a permanent member from 2009 to 2015. She also sang for several years with the groups Brass Machine and Vampire .
In addition to the projects mentioned, Anlauff is a member of the show and cover bands Decoy and Celebration . They consist of professional musicians, are in demand nationwide for live acts for concerts, gala or company events and have already been on stage with artists such as Mel C , Clueso and Silbermond . She also performs guest engagements with Frank Rohles and the Roxxbusters , a professional nationwide event and show band.
Further stations
In 2009, Anlauff received a feature in the Alexander Kern film Land without a Name , a homage to the Saar region and its artists, which was shown as a film at the Max Ophüls Film Festival .
Anlauff is an established live and studio singer with well over 100 appearances and engagements per year, who works nationwide and is also booked for advertising jingles and professional company and corporate productions, for example by Volkswagen AG , Commerzbank , Union Investment or the WDR . Since 2011 she has also been working as a lecturer for singing at the Thomas Schwab Music School in Mülheim (Mosel).
