Menominee is a city (with the status " City ") and the administrative seat of Menominee County in the US -amerikanischen State Michigan . In 2010 Menominee had 8,599 residents. making it the county's largest city. By 2012 the population had decreased to 8502.

Menominee is located on Michigan's Upper Peninsula , on the north bank of the confluence of the Menominee River and Green Bay of Lake Michigan . On the opposite bank of the river is the town of Marinette , Wisconsin .
The geographical coordinates of Menominee are 45 ° 06'28 "north latitude and 87 ° 36'51" west longitude. The urban area extends over an area of 14.19 km², which is spread over 13.34 km² of land and 0.85 km² of water.
The closest major towns are Iron Mountain (112 km north-northwest), Marquette (194 km north), Sault Ste.
