Mermoz-Sacré Cœur is one of the 19 districts (Communes d'arrondissement du Sénégal) of Dakar , the capital of Senegal . The Mermoz district is named after the legendary French mail pilot Jean Mermoz , to whom a memorial is dedicated in one of the central squares of the district.

Mermoz-Sacré Cœur is located on the Corniche ouest , the west coast of the Cap-Vert peninsula .

The municipality has an area of ​​5.8 km². Neighboring are the districts of Ouakam in the north, Sicap-Liberté in the east and Fann-Point E-Amitié in the south .

The district is almost completely built on, but also with many educational institutions and some residential areas, so that the population density is kept within limits. The area of ​​the former Ouakam airfield between the districts of Mermoz and Sacré Cœur was also built on.
