Michael Foerster (actor)
Michael Foerster (born September 13, 1972 in Mainz ) is a German actor and producer .
Life
Michael Foerster grew up near Frankfurt am Main in Germany . Even in his youth he developed a great interest in various arts. Writing, music ( saxophone ), photography and acting . After graduating from the Stefan-George-Gymnasium , he completed a four-year training course at the Athanor Academy for Performing Arts, Film and Television in Bavaria .
This was followed by his first engagement at the Salzburg State Theater , where he played Paris in the production of Romeo and Juliet . In the following years Michael Foerster was seen repeatedly on different stages in the Munich , Stuttgart and Düsseldorf area. At the Renitenztheater in Stuttgart, Foerster played leading roles in the pieces slipped disc and Hysterikon , theater productions by the playwright Ingrid Lausund and in The Birds of Aristophanes and in The Impresario of Smirna by Carlo Goldoni .
At the Carl-Orff Festival and the Neersener Schlossfestspiele Foerster played regularly on open-air stages .
In addition to working at the theater, Michael Foerster also shoots for film and television productions. He was seen in the television series Tatort , Die Rosenheim-Cops , SOKO 5113 and Hubert and Staller . For film productions he worked with the director Christine Hartmann for the ZDF production Tsunami - Life afterwards . Directed by Xaver Schwarzenberger , he appeared in the Nazi drama Anna's Homecoming .
He also attended the Bavarian Academy for Film and Television to continue his education in the field of film production . Then he produced a few short films , some of which developed into feature films. In 2016 Michael Foerster played the leading role in the movie Holy Spirit , directed by Michael Baran. Foerster also attended Bernard Hiller's International Acting Masterclasses in Hamburg , Rome , London and Los Angeles and took part in the Ischia Film Festival. He also attended coaching sessions from Nancy Bishop. He currently lives and works in Munich and Los Angeles.
