Michael Michele Williams (born August 30, 1966 in Evansville , Indiana ) is an American actress .

Michele moved to New York after graduating from Benjamin Bosse High School to pursue her dream of an acting career. She initially made a living by recording commercials, including for McDonald’s, until she appeared in three music videos by Freddie Jackson . It wasn't long before she got a role in the 1989 film Harlem Nights, starring Eddie Murphy . But she lost the role because of differences of opinion.

She became known after her role in the thriller New Jack City (1991), in which she played one of the bigger roles alongside Wesley Snipes and Mario van Peebles . She also played one of the bigger roles in the movie The Team Spirit (1997) and in the movie Dark Blue (2002), in which she appeared alongside Kurt Russell . She was also u. a. starred in the television series Sharp Guns - Hot Curves (1992), Trade Winds (1993), New York Undercover (1994), Central Park West (1995) and Homicide ( 1998-1999 ). She was nominated for an Image Award in 2001 for her role in the series Emergency Room . This was followed primarily by appearances in various television productions, primarily television series.

Michele was recognized for her role in the comedy film How Do I Get Rid of Him In 10 Days? (2003), in which she starred alongside Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey , was nominated for a Teen Choice Award .

Michele had a son in 2004.
