Michele La Rosa

Michele La Rosa (born April 27, 1980 ) is an Italian racing car driver , racing team owner and entrepreneur. He has competed in the Auto GP World Series since 2011 .

Career

La Rosa started his motorsport career in 2011 in the Auto GP . For Ombra Racing he took part in the last race weekend. La Rosa then announced that it would be entering the Auto GP World Series with its own racing team, the MLR71 Racing Team , for the 2012 season . After La Rosa took part in several test drives for his racing team in the winter of 2011/2012, he competed as a racing driver for his own team in the 2012 season. Sergio Campana and Giacomo Ricci shared the other vehicle. La Rosa finished in the points three times and a ninth place was his best result while Campana won a race. La Rosa finished the season in 22nd place. In addition, in 2012 La Rosa took part in the BOSS GP , a racing series that uses vehicles that are no longer used in their original racing series. There he was fifth overall with five podium finishes. In 2013 , La Rosa contested another Auto GP season for his racing team. In the overall standings, he improved to 20th place.
