Mike (Mikaël) Aigroz (born February 23, 1978 ) is a former Swiss triathlete , duathlete , European runner-up in the long-distance triathlon (2012) and Ironman winner (2015). He is included in the list of Swiss triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

In 1997 Mike Aigroz became Swiss Duathlon Champion. In 1998, the only 20-year-old finished third at the European Duathlon Championship in Poland.

Since 2003 he started in triathlon. In 2004 he finished second in the long distance at the Triathlon International de Nice . Mike Aigroz starts on the medium (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run) and long distance (3.8 km swim, 180 km bike and 42.195 km run). Mike Aigroz was trained by Marc Montandon and in swimming by Laurent Vouilloz .

In 2011 he finished sixth at the Ironman Hawaii . In July 2012 he finished third at Challenge Roth and thus behind the winner, the South African James Cunnama , as the second-best European, vice-European champion on the long-distance triathlon.
In September 2014 he was third in the first edition of the Ironman Mallorca . In November 2015 he won the Ironman Malaysia.

In November 2016, the 38-year-old declared his active time in top sport over. He lives in Château-d'Oex .
