Mirko Tepavac ( Serbian - Cyrillic Мирко Тепавац ; born August 13, 1922 in Zemun ; † August 28, 2014 in Belgrade ) was a Yugoslav politician.

Life

Mirko Tepavac joined the partisans in 1941 and became a member of the Communist Party in 1942 . He later became a member of the Regional Committee of the Communist League of Vojvodina .

From 1955 to 1959 he was director of Radio Belgrade , then Yugoslav ambassador to Hungary . From 1965 to 1967 he was editor of the newspaper Politika . He was then chairman of the Association of Communists of Vojvodina until 1969, from March 1969 a member of the party presidium at federal level and from May 1969 Foreign Minister of the SFR Yugoslavia . In November 1972 he was removed from office because of his liberal views.

From 1994-1996 he was president of the Evropski Pokret u Srbiji (epus, European Movement Serbia ). He was a regular author in the journal Republika published by Nebojša Popov .

Mirko Tepavac was married to the actress Renata Ulmanski (* 1929).
