Mittelmühle in the Steiningloh district is a district of the town of Hirschau in the Amberg-Sulzbach district in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

origin of the name

Mittelmühle takes its name from its location between Urspringermühle and Schwärzermühle . In the official registers of place names, Mittelmühle was only listed under the name Mittelmühle from 1877 onwards. Before that, Mittelmühle was run under Mittermühle.

In 1460 a Michel Mullner was mentioned by the Mytern Mul. In 1702 a mother mill is mentioned that belongs to the Amberg district judge. In 1766 there is talk of a Mittermühl near Steininglohe.

history

Mittelmühle originally belonged to the Steiningloh community. As part of the municipality of Steiningloh, Mittelmühle was attached to the municipality of Mimbach on January 1, 1970 . On January 1, 1972, the community of Mimbach was finally dissolved. The middle mill was added to the city of Hirschau.
