Mitterschlag is a town and a cadastral community of the market town of Langschlag in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 47 building areas with 15,460 m² and 5 gardens on 603 m² in the cadastral community of Mitterschlag , in 1989/1990 there were 45 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 119 and in 2009/2010 there were 86 buildings on 124 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 236 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 188 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 216 hectares and 205 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 198 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 214 hectares. The average soil climate number of Mitterschlag is 13.4 (as of 2010).
