Modern Times is the fourth studio album by the German rock band Unheilig . The original album contains 14, the limited edition 16 songs, all of which were written, orchestrated and produced by the band's singer, the Count. The album was first released on January 20, 2006 in Germany; in Austria and Switzerland, the album has only been available for purchase since its re-release in 2009. The album was released under the label Four.Rock.

The cover of the CD shows a clock in the middle and the count's face can be seen on the right side. The clock on the cover is reminiscent of the famous scene in Skyscrapers, of all things! , in which the silent film comedian Harold Lloyd hangs on the hand of a huge clock on the upper floors of a skyscraper, far below the traffic. The title of the album is based on the film classic Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin , another silent film comedian.

After six years of the band's history, Moderne Zeiten is the first sound carrier of the band to reach a chart position in the official German charts. In one week of the chart, the album managed to position itself on position 76 of the official album Top 100 in Germany.

trip

Shortly after the album was released, Unheilig went on the Golden Times Tour 2006 in February of that year. A live CD was also released at the end of the year, entitled Golden Times .
