Born to Live is a song by the German band Unheilig . It was released as a single from their seventh studio album Große Freiheit in advance. The single was first released on January 29, 2010 in Germany and Austria, in Switzerland it was released on February 14, 2010. The accompanying music video had its premiere on January 14, 2010.

Almost all of the harmonies are taken from the piece Comptine d'un autre été by Yann Tiersen , known from the soundtrack of the film The fabulous world of Amélie .
