Frohes Fest is the first Christmas album by the German rock music group Unheilig . It was released on October 28, 2002 and was re-released on July 3, 2009. Only after the great single success of Born to Live and the seventh studio album Große Freiheit in 2010, the album was able to position itself in the charts for the first time eight years after its first release.
Style and content
In addition to well-known Christmas carols such as O Tannenbaum and Silent Night, Holy Night , less popular ones such as Still, Still, Still or When I watch my sheep are recorded. The pieces are quite dark, based on the well-known Unheilig style, interpreted, electrical elements are used a little.
Christmas tree (EP)
Tannenbaum is a bonus XP that serves as a bonus to Happy Holidays . It is not available individually. The Tannenbaum EP is an album limited to 2,000 copies, which also contains three stickers and a postcard. The EP was first published on October 28, 2002 in Germany; in Austria and Switzerland, the EP can only be obtained via download. On the cover, next to the Unheilig lettering, you can see a burning candle against a black / dark background.
