The Story of a song is German rock - band Unholy , the first and only single from her sixth studio album puppetry was coupled. The first release took place on March 28, 2008 under the title On your side I , on November 14th the song was re-released under the title On your side II . The single is only available as a maxi CD in Germany, in all other countries the song is only available as a download. The music and lyrics of the song come from the singer of the band " Der Graf ", it was produced by Oliver Pinelli and the Count. The maxi CD contains from An Your Side an orchestral version by Pinelli, a radio version by Pinelli and a radio version by the Count himself.
song
The text comes from the Count and tells a personal story about him and his best friend who died shortly afterwards. He celebrates that he had a good time with him, that the world would be empty without him and that he was proud to be able to accompany his friend during his last days. In interviews, the count stated that the songs On Your Side and Born to Live Together told a story - in On Your Side the Count dealt with the illness of his best friend and in Born to Live his death.
Music video
The music video shows the Count singing in a hall, this mostly happens in three different sequences. Once he can be seen singing and playing the piano on a stage, then he can be seen singing in front of the piano on the stage; and once he can be seen singing on the seats in front of this stage. The video was directed by Martin Müller.

Commercial win
At your side is Unheilig's first commercial success. It is the first single that was able to position itself in the charts, the music video for it is the first that was played by music broadcasters and for the first time Unheilig are represented with one of their songs on a sampler.
At your side is the first single from Unheilig that reached the official German single charts. The single was released in early 2008, but could not yet reach any chart positions, only when it was first re-released in late 2008, the song was able to work its way to position 64 in six weeks. The single celebrated its greatest success with its second re-release in early 2010, where the song was able to return to the charts thanks to the great success of Born to Live , this time the song stayed in the charts for 20 consecutive weeks and reached number 49.
