Henning Verlage (born May 16, 1978 in Greven , Münsterland ) is a German music producer and keyboard player .

Life

At a young age he received organ lessons and played the electric and church organ . As a teenager, publishers experimented with keyboards and an Atari computer and decided to turn the hobby into a profession. From 1995 to 2000 he was the keyboardist of the amateur band Sinistra , with whom he played a lot of live performances and won several local youth competitions.

After graduating from high school in Greven at the Augustinianum grammar school, publishing studied from 1998 to 2002 at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Enschede "Music Production & Keyboards" (today "MediaMusic") up to a diploma. With a scholarship from the Messiaen Academie, he then completed a two-year postgraduate course with a focus on music production . He gained additional experience during an internship in New York City . In 2004 he completed his studies with a master's degree . Since then he has worked as a freelance producer , arranger , keyboard player (live and in the studio ), remixer , songwriter , programmer and musical director.

From 2001 onwards, Henning Verlage supported the Neuroticfish project as a live keyboardist, made some remixes and became a permanent member in 2005. In 2008, however, the band broke up. He also became a live keyboardist and producer for the groups Unheilig and Down Below , which are still active. Other bands and artists for whom the publishers worked are last instance , Xandria , Peter Heppner , Wolfsheim , Rosenstolz , Ch! Pz , Frei.Wild , Eisbrecher and others. a.

As a long-time user of KORG's electronic musical instruments , he has demonstrated their products at many trade fairs and promotional tours. KORG also asked publishers to program patterns and sounds for the following devices: Electribe, Radias 2.0 and microKORG XL.

Home recording enthusiasts was Henning publishers known for his regular workshop papers and online videos for magazines Sound & Recording and keyboards ( "De / Constructed", "Hands On"), and for now set print magazine of-school band Initiative Schooljam .

Since 2008 he has been a lecturer in popular music / KMP ("Keyboards & Music Production") at the Musikhochschule Münster .
