Monika Buttinger

Monika Buttinger (born September 23, 1971 in Wels ) is an Austrian costume designer .

Life

Monika Buttinger comes from a family with five children. Her father was a railroad worker. Buttinger attended the arts and crafts school in Linz from 1986 to 1991 . From 1992 she learned fashion design at the Vienna Fashion School in Schloss Hetzendorf . She completed this training in 1995 with a diploma. In the same year she started her own business as a costume and fashion designer.

From the year 2000 Buttinger worked as a costume designer in numerous cinema and television films. As a costume designer for the stage, she worked at the Landestheater Linz , the Raimundtheater and the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, among others . She created the fashion designs for the opening of the Alpine World Ski Championships 2001 in St. Anton am Arlberg and the opening of the 2013 Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming . Buttinger also worked as a photo stylist and fashion editor and was a fashion designer for the labels Airfield , Sando and Stapf and for ten years for Eisbär . In her 2008 fashion collection Zojas , she processed historical textiles with modern cuts.

Buttinger is a member of the Academy of Austrian Films .
