Moritz Bürkner

Moritz Bürkner (born March 13, 1983 in Bonn ) is a German actor .

Life

Moritz Bürkner is the great-nephew of the actor Robert Bürkner and the great-grandson of the Dresden woodcarver and copper engraver Hugo Bürkner and the great-grandson of the chemist August W. von Hofmann .

After graduating from high school, Bürkner completed an acting training at the drama school der Keller in Cologne from 2004 to 2008 , where he also received training in singing and dance . He continued his training privately, among others with Folker Bohnet and Susanne Bredehöft .

After his training he mainly worked as a theater actor . He had permanent engagements at the connected theaters Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz and Kleines Theater Bad Godesberg (2009-2011).

His stage roles there in the 2009/2010 season included the role of Kenneth Lawrence in the crime piece Cocktail for a corpse based on the film Cocktail for a corpse by Alfred Hitchcock ; Hitchcock's film was originally based on the play Party for a Corpse by Patrick Hamilton . In the stage version, Bürkner played alongside Petra Blossey and Claus Wilcke , the murdered David and the best friend of the murdered student David, the ex-boyfriend of the role Janet. Further roles in the 2009/2010 season were the comic role of the page master Brighella in the fairy tale play Turandot by Friedrich Schiller and the actor Oxenby in the play Der Garderobier by Ronald Harwood .

In the 2010/2011 season Bürkner took over the role of Andrea Sarti (Galileo former student) in the play Life of Galileo by Bertolt Brecht and the authentic role of the juvenile Flakhelfers Hermann Kesselheim in the play The Bridge . Bürkner portrayed the painter Hermann Kesselheim, who later resided in Neuwied , son of the painter Peter Kesselheim, and a contemporary witness of the struggle for the bridge at Remagen ; he had advised on the preparation of the stage version.

Bürkner was also seen in the 2010/2011 season as a chimney sweep in the fairy tale production Frau Holle . The stage version by Walter Anders added the story of the fairy tale to the role of "black Peter", the chimney sweep, who secretly loves lazy Marie. Bürkner embodied a “stupid chimney sweep who asked in vain for Mariechen's hand.” Other stage roles were King Achmad in the children's play The Thief of Baghdad (2012; Theater Bonn Bad Godesberg / Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz Schlosstheater Neuwied) and the miller's son Hans in the children's fairy tale Der Puss in Boots (2013; Kleines Theater Bad Godesberg).

In 2012 and 2013, Bürkner, directed by Benjamin Kernen , played Master Tyler in the plays A Life for the Sea and The Old Buccaneer on the open-air pirate stage in Grevesmühlen on the Baltic Sea . In the summer of 2015 he played the role of the Utah chief "Big Wolf" in the play Der Schatz im Silbersee at the Karl May Festival in Elspe . In the summer of 2016, Bürkner appears again at the Karl May Festival, this time as the opposing Marikopa chief “Peteh” in the play In the Valley of Death .

Bürkner also played several smaller roles in film and television productions, including as a patient in A Dangerous Method , as a recruit in Neue Vahr Süd and in the television series Lena - Love of my Life , Alarm for Cobra 11 and Heart Fibrillation - Die Klinik am See . In addition, Bürkner took part in several student and short film projects, such as Ariadne 2050 , Clyde in the Vault and The Cold Court .
