Moschen , in Polish Moszna , is a place in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Strzeleczki / Klein Strehlitz in the powiat (district) Krapkowice (Krappitz) in the Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Moschen is located about thirty kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole and fifteen kilometers west of the district town of Krapkowice . The community seat in Klein Strehlitz is about seven kilometers to the east. Voivodship road 409 runs through the village .

history

Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Moschen was connected to the Neustadt-Gogoliner Railway in October 1896 .

In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 163 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 15 for Poland. Moschen remained with the German Empire. In 1939 there were 355 inhabitants in Moschen. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously mostly German town came to Poland and the Polish name Moszna became official. Since 1950 the place belongs to the Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 to the Powiat (district) Krapkowice (Krappitz) .
