Muscoda is located in southwest Wisconsin on the south bank of the Wisconsin River , a left tributary of the Mississippi . The intersection of the three states of Minnesota , Iowa and Wisconsin is located on the Mississippi and is 97 km to the northwest. After Illinois there are 87 km to the south.
