My Worlds Acoustic is the first remix album by Canadian singer Justin Bieber . It was released on November 26, 2010 and is only available in North and South America . Since February 8, 2011 it has also been available in the iTunes Store . An international version, in which all songs from this publication are also available along with a few other titles, was released on November 19, 2010 under the name " My Worlds: The Collection ". Initially, the album was available exclusively from Walmart and Sam's Club .

On October 18, 2010, Bieber announced plans for an acoustic album on his Twitter page, which would contain unplugged versions of his songs and a new song, and which would be released around Christmas time. A few days later, on October 24, 2010, he announced November 26th as the release date. The reason for the publication called Bieber that he "wanted to prove to all the haters that he could sing". After all, with an acoustic album one can hear one's voice particularly well. In addition, he wanted to prove with this publication that he “has the skills to have a long and fulfilling career”.

In order to promote this album and his upcoming movie Justin Bieber: Never Say Never , Bieber shot a music video for the acoustic version of the song " Never Say Never ".

Track list

Eight of the ten songs are available in an acoustic version on the CD. The song " Favorite Girl " is a live version, the title " Pray " is a new song by the singer, which is in a conventional studio version on the album.

The album received mostly positive reviews. For example, Lucy Jones of The Daily Telegraph said the songs were "undeniably brilliant pop songs." She also said that "the album has the ability to reach people outside of its original audience." Mikael Wood also rated the album well and was of the opinion that Bieber would not have changed his well-known style (“children's soul voice”), but the acoustic reproduction and the new song would deliver a sugar-sweet load. Ultimately, he called it "superficial". Thomas Conneron described "soothing some of the pop songs with slower melodies and patient singing" as "not bad." In addition, this contributed to the fact that the listeners could notice how Bieber's voice had matured. The Washington Post reviewer called the album "the cheesiest acoustic album in history."

The album debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 , selling around 115,000 times in its first week. This made it Bieber's third top ten album in the US within a year. After being in the top 100 of the US charts for a few weeks, it returned to the top ten in the week of February 26, 2010, also due to its release on iTunes . In total, the album stayed in the charts for 32 weeks. In Canada, it debuted at number five on the charts and reached number four the following week. The release has since gone platinum for 80,000 units sold in Canada.
