The Purpose World Tour was Canadian singer Justin Bieber's third world tour . During the tour, songs from his fourth studio album Purpose were mostly sung. The tour began on March 9, 2016 in Seattle, Washington . The tour ended in London on July 2, 2017 after the remaining concerts were canceled on July 24, 2017.

The tour was announced on November 11, 2015 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show . On the same day, 58 concert dates for the US and Canada were posted on the singer's website. Due to the very high demand, more concerts were added in Los Angeles , Atlanta , Philadelphia , Boston , Miami and New York , bringing the total to 66 concerts in North America.

On December 9th, 2015 the first concert dates for Europe were announced, to which further concerts in Iceland , Croatia , England , Scotland , Ireland , Paris , Oslo and Stockholm were added later due to high demand .

In January 2016, rehearsals began in Los Angeles .

On October 3, 2016, in addition to the announcement of five more concerts in Australia and New Zealand, Martin Garrix was announced as a special guest.

In November and December 2016, the Purpose Tour was announced as part of some festivals in Europe in the summer of 2017.

On December 5, 2016, Bieber announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a stadium tour for the summer of 2017 in the United States . First, a concert was confirmed on August 5, 2017 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena . On July 24, 2017, the remaining concerts, including the stadium tour in the United States announced in December, were canceled.
