The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is a regional stock car series of NASCAR founded in 1987, which only drives in the northeastern part of the USA . Until the 2007 season it was known as the "NASCAR Busch East Series". In the next two years it was called "NASCAR Camping World East Series". The series belongs together with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West to the Grand National Divisions of NASCAR. Most of the races are held in the states of Maine , New Hampshire , Massachusetts , New York , New Jersey , Connecticut , Delaware , Ohio , Virginia and Pennsylvania . The series was formerly known as the Busch North Series and was renamed the NASCAR Busch East Series in 2006 after a race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina was added to the racing calendar.
2007 races in Virginia and Tennessee were added to the racing calendar, with which the series spreads more and more south.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is the only NASCAR series in which a driver won the championship without winning a single race of the season. Dale Shaw did this in 1994.
Kelly Moore is the most successful racing driver in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. He leads the record lists for most wins, most pole positions, most top 5 and most top 10 results. He is also the driver who made the most money in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
