NGC 7052 is an elliptical radio galaxy of the Hubble type E5 in the constellation Fox in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 219 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on September 10, 1784 by the astronomer William Herschel with his 18.7-inch reflector telescope and was later included in his New General Catalog by Johan Dreyer .
