NGC 7298 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 229 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 7300 and NGC 7302 are located in the same area of the sky .
The type II supernovae SN 2012gc was observed here.
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on August 7, 1864 .
