NGC 7319 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Pegasus , about 300 million light years from Earth . NGC 7319 is a member of the Stephans Quintett galaxy group . Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This group of galaxies belongs to the class of galaxies .
NGC 7319 was discovered on September 23, 1876 by the French astronomer Édouard Jean-Marie Stephan .
