NGC 7294 = IC 5225 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation of the Southern Pisces in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 456 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 270,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 5226 .
The property was discovered by Francis Preserved Leavenworth in 1886 .
