The N 3 is one of the national roads in Senegal .

The course of the road begins in the center of Thiès at the busy Place de France as a junction from the N 1 . The end of the N3 is in the east in Matam on Senegal , the border river to Mauritania , and the route up to then is 464 kilometers long.

The road connects the populous west of the peanut basin and the pilgrim metropolis Touba with the sparsely populated Ferlo and the river region along the Senegal bank in the northeast of the country. It leads through the regions (from west to east) Thiès , Diourbel , Louga and Matam . Between Thiès and Mbacké, the N3 runs parallel to the Dakar – Niger line .

In the large city of Mbacké at the gates of Touba, the N3 originally runs through the city center. A five and a half kilometer bypass road in the northwest is now more time-saving.
