Nanna Kuckuck (* 1967 in Berlin ) is a German fashion designer . She designs and manufactures under the label Nanna Kuckuck - Haute Couture women's fashion with a focus on evening and wedding dresses .

Life

Nanna Kuckuck is the daughter of the painter Michaela Holzheimer and the sculptor Henner Kuckuck. She has a son and lives in Berlin . After graduating from high school , she trained as a seamstress and then studied fashion design at the Lette Association . She completed her studies in 1988 as a state-certified fashion designer.

Label

After graduating, she moved to New York City , where she created her first collections. These were sold in boutiques in SoHo and Greenwich Village . After the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, she returned to Berlin and opened a studio in Berlin-Schöneberg . In the early 1990s she concentrated on elegant and festive women's fashion and designed her first order collection with a focus on handmade pleated fabrics. She presented her collections a. a. at trade fairs such as the AVE fashion fair or the Milan fashion week . In the mid-1990s, Nanna Kuckuck opened a shop in Berlin-Charlottenburg near Kurfürstendamm . Here she developed the label Nanna Kuckuck - Haute Couture . Since 2003, Nanna Kuckuck has been designing and manufacturing unique haute couture items , evening dresses, gala robes and wedding dresses. Since 2016 she has moved her artist workshop back to a studio.

The creations of Nanna Kuckuck were u. a. shown at the Berlin Fashion Week, festive opera gala for the German AIDS Foundation, award ceremony of the Golden Nose 2009 in the Bode Museum , White Turf St. Moritz , the Ball der Wirtschaft VBKI or the E-Werk Berlin .

Celebrities like Katja Riemann , Ursula Carven , Simone Thomalla , Andrea Sawatzki , Gudrun Landgrebe , Gabriele Princess zu Leiningen , Isa von Hardenberg , Eva Luise Köhler , Nadja Michael , and Friede Springer wear their creations.
