The National Road 314 ( Chinese 314国道 , Pinyin 314 Guódào , English China National Highway 314 ), Ch. Abbr. G314 is a 1948 km long, running east-west direction highway in western China in the autonomous region of Xinjiang . It leads from the provincial capital Urumqi via Toksun , Korla , Bügür , Wensu , Aksu , Artux , Kashgar , Shufu and Tashkorgan to the 4,733 high Kunjirap Pass , which forms the border with Pakistan . The part from Kashgar to Kunjirap Pass is part of the Karakoram Highway .
