Necrotted is a German death metal - band from Abtsgmünd ( Baden-Württemberg ).
history
The band was founded in early 2008 by the then bassist Fabian Fink and the former guitarist Tobias Sturm. Michael Heim, Markus Braun and Fabian's younger brother Philipp gradually completed the first line-up, in which they soon began to play live performances.
In 2008 and 2009, the band recorded various demo productions, which were never released and distributed on CD. Only in March 2010 was the debut EP Kingdom of Hades recorded in Schwäbisch Hall with producer Roger Grüninger . The CD was released in April of the same year and received mostly positive reviews from the music community.
In the following months the quintet gave concerts in Germany and Austria and shared the stages with bands like Vader , Krisiun , God Dethroned , Disbelief , Debauchery , Hackneyed , Benighted and many more.
In 2011 the band decided to set their first full-length album to music. The recordings began in autumn 2011 in Würzburg with Nikita Kamprad from the band Der Weg einer Freiheit , formerly guitarist for Fuck Your Shadow From Behind . Anchors Apart was released in June 2012 on the Supreme Chaos Records label , from which the band had recently been signed. During this time, Necrotted also played some larger concerts with well-known bands such as Heaven Shall Burn , The Sorrow , Neaera , Unearth , Obituary or Psycroptic .
At the beginning of 2013 Michael Heim and Tobias Sturm left the band for personal reasons. Fabian Fink then took over the vocals. Furthermore, Pavlos Chatzistavridis (vocals), Johannes Wolf (guitar) and Koray Saglam (bass) joined the band. In this formation, the sextet played various appearances in 2013 with Caliban or We Butter the Bread with Butter .
In December 2013 the band went to the recording studio in Würzburg to record the second LP Utopia 2.0 . Nikita Kamprad could again be engaged as a producer for this. The album was released on October 10, 2014 via Supreme Chaos Records . To promote their new songs, Necrotted played at several well-known festivals in 2014 and as support for international greats such as Hatebreed , Napalm Death , Kataklysm or The Dillinger Escape Plan . In 2015 the band accompanied their friends from Hackneyed , with whom they shared two members, on a CD release tour and played for the first time at the Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbühl.
After several shows in Central Europe in 2015 and 2016, Necrotted started songwriting for their third album in spring 2016 and went into the studio in autumn of the same year. The latest LP Worldwide Warfare , which in turn was produced by Nikita Kamprad in Würzburg, was released in October 2017 on the new label Rising Nemesis Records . Then Necrotted went on an album release tour together with the befriended Aalen bands Parasite Inc. and Skeleton Pit .
In 2018 the band played various concerts, including the Summer Breeze and Death Feast Open Air. The band also went back to the studio to record a new EP. Kai Bigler and Benjamin Stelzer from Parasite Inc. acted as producers. The EP Die For Something Worthwhile was released in October 2019 via Rising Nemesis Records.
Band name
The name is an amalgamation from the words necro ( Greek "dead") and rotted ( English "rotten").
