New admission to the UNESCO cultural and natural heritage in 1982
In 1982 the following new admissions to the UNESCO cultural and natural heritage took place:
World heritage
At its sixth session from December 13 to 17, 1982 in Paris , the World Heritage Committee added 24 sites from 15 countries to the UNESCO World Heritage List, including 17 cultural (K), five natural (N) and two mixed Cultural and natural heritage site (K / N). In addition, a cross-border extension of a natural heritage site was identified and another cultural heritage site was placed on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger (R) .
World Heritage List

The following was also noted in the minutes of the meeting:
- The strict nature reserve Nimbaberge , which was included in the world heritage last year on the proposal of Guinea , has been extended to include a part of the reserve in Ivory Coast .
- The Stone City of Zanzibar , which was nominated by Tanzania , should no longer be considered for inclusion on the World Heritage List. Another application was successful and enrollment took place in 2000.
- The Italian delegate announced that the nomination of the Medici villas around Florence had been withdrawn. It was not until 2013 that twelve Medici villas and two pleasure gardens in Tuscany were added to the World Heritage List.
- Pakistan requested that the application of Kirthar National Park and Lal Suhanra National Park be postponed in order to provide further information before the World Heritage Committee's decision.
- Syria was asked to provide further information regarding Aleppo's nomination . The old town of Aleppo was added to the world heritage list in 1986.
Red List
At the request of Jordan , the cultural heritage of the Old City and City Walls of Jerusalem , which had been included in the World Heritage list the previous year, was placed on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger.
