World Heritage in the United States of America
The world heritage in the United States of America includes (as of 2019) 24 UNESCO world heritage sites , including eleven world cultural heritage sites, twelve world natural heritage sites and a mixed cultural and natural heritage site. The United States ratified the World Heritage Convention in 1973, and the first two World Heritage Sites were added to the World Heritage List in 1978. The last World Heritage Site to date was registered in 2019, and one site is on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger .
