World Heritage in the United States of America

The world heritage in the United States of America includes (as of 2019) 24 UNESCO world heritage sites , including eleven world cultural heritage sites, twelve world natural heritage sites and a mixed cultural and natural heritage site. The United States ratified the World Heritage Convention in 1973, and the first two World Heritage Sites were added to the World Heritage List in 1978. The last World Heritage Site to date was registered in 2019, and one site is on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger .

The following table lists the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the United States in chronological order by year of their inclusion on the World Heritage List (K - Cultural Heritage, N - Natural Heritage, K / N - Mixed, (R) - On the Red List of World Heritage in Danger ) .

The Wrangell-St Elias National Park in southeastern Alaska has approximately 53,320 km² the largest national park in the US. In the neighboring Glacier Bay National Park , some glaciers extend into the tidal waters of Glacier Bay ("Glacier Bay").

Guggenheim Museum in New York City . They represent the "organic architecture" developed by Wright. The versatile uses (living, working, leisure, church) can be associated with the versatility of Wright's work and his striving for expediency. The architecture had a lasting influence on contemporary European architecture.
