World heritage in Georgia

The world heritage in Georgia (as of 2017) includes three UNESCO world heritage sites , all of which are world cultural heritage sites. Georgia acceded to the World Heritage Convention in 1992, and the first two World Heritage sites were added to the World Heritage List in 1994. The last world heritage site to date was registered in 1996, and part of a world heritage site was deleted in 2017.

The following table lists the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Georgia in chronological order according to the year of their inclusion in the World Heritage List (K - cultural heritage, N - natural heritage, K / N - mixed, (R) - on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger ).

Originally included in the World Heritage List together with the Bagrati Cathedral , which was removed from the World Heritage Site in 2017.

1994-2017 K 710 1994 was Bagrati Cathedral , together with the also in Kutaisi lying monastery Gelati been inscribed on the World Heritage List (s. Archive ). Because the cathedral was reconstructed against the recommendation of ICOMOS, it was deleted from the World Heritage Site in 2017, only the Gelati Monastery remains.

Tentative list

The sites that are intended for nomination for inclusion in the World Heritage List are entered in the tentative list . As of 2018, fifteen sites are entered in the tentative list of Georgia, the last entry was made in 2007. The following table lists the sites in chronological order according to the year they were included in the tentative list.
