World Heritage in Finland
World Heritage Sites in Finland (S = Struve Arch ) |
The world heritage in Finland includes (as of 2017) seven UNESCO world heritage sites , including six world cultural heritage sites and one world natural heritage site. Finland ratified the World Heritage Convention in 1987, and the first two World Heritage sites were added to the World Heritage List in 1991. The last World Heritage site to date was registered in 2006.

Archipelago - Kvarken Archipelago | 2006 | N | 898 | The Kvarken Archipelago , located on the Gulf of Bothnia , with its hilly coastal area provides a clear picture of the geological formations and the development of vegetation after the last Ice Age. The isostatic land elevation caused by the different melting of the ice is particularly easy to see here.

As of 2017, six sites are entered in the tentative list of Finland, the last entry was made in 2004. The following table lists the sites in chronological order according to the year of their inclusion in the tentative list.

Paimio Hospital (formerly Paimio Sanatorium) ( location ) |

It functioned as a tuberculosis hospital until the 1960s ; today it is a pulmonary clinic. The functionalist building is considered to be one of the most important works of Aalto's early creative period.
