World Heritage of the Holy See

The World Heritage of the Holy See (as of 2020) includes two UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are either in the Vatican City or that are extraterritorial possessions of the Holy See . Both sites are cultural heritage sites. The Holy See , which represents the State of Vatican City externally, ratified the World Heritage Convention in 1982. The first World Heritage Sites were added to the World Heritage List in 1984, the last in 1990.

The historical center of Rome and the Basilica of St. Paul were recognized as a World Heritage Site in 1980, and the site was expanded to include the extraterritorial properties of the Holy See in 1990 .

Tentative list

The sites that are intended for nomination for inclusion in the World Heritage List are entered in the tentative list . As of 2020, there are no sites on the tentative list of the Holy See. All previously registered sites have been included in the world heritage.
