World Heritage Sites in Malta |
The world heritage in Malta (as of 2017) includes three UNESCO world heritage sites , all of which are world cultural heritage sites. Malta acceded to the World Heritage Convention in 1978, and all three World Heritage sites were added to the World Heritage List in 1980.

The sites that are intended for nomination for inclusion in the World Heritage List are entered in the tentative list . As of 2017, seven sites are entered in the tentative list of Malta, the last entry was in 1998. The following table lists the sites in chronological order according to the year they were included in the tentative list.

Maltese Catacombs Complex | 1998 | K | 1113 | The catacombs on Malta are three different underground, ancient burial systems on the main island of the Mediterranean archipelago, which show traces of use in Christian times. Originally only simple grave holes were carved into the rocky subsoil, over time more complex systems of chambers and antechambers emerged.
