World Heritage Sites in Montenegro |
The world heritage in Montenegro (as of 2017) includes four UNESCO world heritage sites , including three world cultural heritage sites and one world natural heritage site. Two of these sites are transnational . The first World Heritage site was added to the World Heritage List in 1979, when Montenegro was still one of the six republics of Yugoslavia , and another followed in 1980. After gaining independence in 2006, Montenegro ratified the World Heritage Convention in the same year, but only received a new World Heritage Site in 2016. The last World Heritage site to date was registered in 2017.

The following table lists the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Montenegro in chronological order according to the year of their inclusion in the World Heritage List (K - cultural heritage, N - natural heritage, K / N - mixed, (R) - on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger ).

In Montenegro three sites have been declared world heritage sites: Bare Žugića in Žabljak , Grčko groblje in Žabljak and in Plužine . Other sites are in Croatia , Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia . |
