Neubronn is a district of Weikersheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

The district of the district is located at heights of about 330- 420  m above sea level. NHN on the ridge between the valleys of the Rindelbach in the east and the Vorbach in the west, which flow one after the other outside the district of the Tauber . For the boundaries of the former commune Neubronn include the village Neubronn ( ) and the hamlet of Oberndorf ( ) and the Outbound village Degelbronn. Neubronn stretches about six kilometers from south to north and is less than three kilometers wide from west to east.

The main town in it, the village of Neubronn, is located about 5.5 km east-southeast of the Weikersheim city center in the valley basin of the middle Neubronner Bach , a tributary of the Rindbach, the hamlet of Oberndorf about 8 km southeast of it on the left bank of the upper Rindbach (as the crow flies ) .

The forest is limited to a few high altitude islands and hillside forest on the mentioned and other smaller valley cuts. Most of the open area is under the plow almost everywhere.

history

In 1245 the place was first mentioned as Nuwenbrunnen . In 1806 Neubronn fell under the sovereignty of the Württemberg state. The place belonged from 1807/08 to the Oberamt Nitzenhausen, from 1809 to the Oberamt Mergentheim and from 1938 to the district Mergentheim, which became part of the newly formed Main-Tauber district on January 1, 1973.

On July 15, 1972, the formerly independent community was incorporated into Weikersheim.
