The house at Neuer Weg 17, 19 is a listed building in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building, registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register, is located south of the historic Quedlinburg old town, on the east side of the Neuer Weg. To the north is the also listed building Neuer Weg 16 . To the south of the house, Seilergasse joins Neue Weg.

Architecture and history

The massive three-story building was created in 1924/25 by the architect Ludwig . In the past, the Neuweger Tor, which was demolished in 1837, was located here . A plaque attached to the building reminds of this. Three small, older half-timbered houses were demolished for the new building . The owner of the new building was the Quedlinburg company Gebrüder Dippe AG. The cubic-looking building is structured using principles of neoclassicism . The facade is flat. The front door is designed with pilasters .
